CHOLEDUCHUS, in anatomy, a term applied to a canal, or duct, called also ductus communis; formed of the union of the porus biliaris and ductus cysticus. The word comes from χολη, choler; and δύχτης, Idre-ceris, or contain.

The choledochus ductus, passing obliquely to the lower-end of the duodenum, serves to convey the bile from the liver to the intestines. See ANAT. no 97.
