CONOVUM, (anc. geog.) a town of the Ordovices, in Britain. From its ruins arose, at the distance of four miles, Aberconvey, the mouth of the Convey, in Caernarvonshire; and on the spot where Conovium stood is a hamlet, called Carbean, the old town, (Camden.)
