CORONARIE, in botany, the 10th order of plants in Linnaeus's Fragments of a natural method. Under this name, instead of the more obvious one Lilaceae, Linnaeus collects a great number of genera, most of which furnish very beautiful garden-flowers, viz. albuca, cyanella, frutillaria, helonia, hyacinthus, hypoxis, lilium, melanthium, ornithogalum, scilla, tulipa, agave, aletris, aloe, authericum, alphodelus, bromelia, burmannia, hemerocallis, polianthes, tilandia, veratrum, yucca.
