DECASPERMUM, in botany; a genus of the monogynia order, belonging to the isosandria class of plants.
Decastyle plants. The calyx is a turbinated perianthium, quinquespid at the apex. The corolla has five roundish petals. The stamens are many filiform filaments, a little shorter than the corolla. The pericarpium is a dry, globular, decemlocular berry, with solitary egg-shaped seeds.
