COLLINSONIA, in botany: A genus of the monogynia order belonging to the decandria class of plants; and in the natural method ranking under the 40th order, Perfonata. The corolla is unequal, with its under lip multifid, and the segments capillary. There is only one perfect seed. There is but one species, a native of North America, but possessed of no remarkable properties.
