ELECTION of a Verderor of the Forest (electione viridatorum forrestre), in law, a writ that lies for the choice of a verderor, where any of the verderors of the forest are dead, or removed from their offices. This writ is directed to the sheriff, and the verderor is to be elected by the freeholders of the county, in the same manner as coroners. New. Nat. Brev. 366.
