GRONOVIA, in botany: A genus of the monogynia order, belonging to the pentandria class of plants; and in the natural method ranking under the 34th order, Cucurbitaceæ. There are five petals and stamens inserted into a campanulated calyx; the berry is dry, monospermous, and inferior.
