HEMIMERIS, in botany; a genus of the angiosperma order, belonging to the didynamia class of plants. The capsule is bilocular, with one of the cells more gibbous than the other: the corolla is wheel-shaped; with one division greater, and inverse heart-shaped; the interstice of the divisions nectar-bearing.
