ICONOLATRE, or ICONOLATERS (from icon and latro "I worship," or ICONODULI (from icon and duo "I serve"); those who worship images: A name which the iconoclasts give to those of the Romish communion, on account of their adoring images, and of rendering to them the worship only due to God.
