LEUCADENDRON, in botany: A genus of the monogynia order, belonging to the tetrandria class of plants; and in the natural method ranking under the 48th order, Aggregata. The florets are tripetalous, with one petal of each trifid; the receptacle is a little villous; there is no proper calyx; the anthers are almost coalited.
