MONTINIA, in botany: A genus of the tetrandria order, belonging to the dioecia class of plants. The perianthium of the male is quadridented superior; and there are four petals. The female calyx and corolla are as in the male; the filaments barren; the style bifid; the capsule oblong and bilocular.
