PALICATE, a sea-port town of India, on this
side of the Ganges. It is seated on the coast of Ca-
romandel, in the kingdom of Carnate, 70 miles north
of Fort St George. Here the Dutch have a factory,
and fort called the Fort of Guelderland. E. Long. 80. 1.
