OETING, a town of Germany, in Upper Bavaria, under the jurisdiction of Burkhausen. It is divided into the upper and the lower town, and seated on the river Inn, eight miles west of Burkhausen. E. Long. 12. 47. N. Lat. 48. 0. There is a great resort of pilgrims to the old chapel.
