NEWBOROUGH, or Newburgh, in the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales, distant from London 254 miles, though but a small town, situated over against Caernarvon in North Wales, about 17 miles south-west.
Newburg west from Beaumaris; is governed by a mayor, two bailiffs, and a recorder. Its Welch name is Rhosffir, or Rhosfuir. Its weekly markets, which are pretty well supplied with provisions, are kept on Tuesdays; and its annual fairs on the 22d of June, Aug. 10th and 21st, Sept. 25th, and Nov. 11th.
