PACUVIUS (Marcus), of Brundisium in Calabria, a tragic poet in high reputation about the year of Rome 600. He was nephew of Ennius; published several theatrical pieces, tho' we have only some fragments of his poetry remaining; and died at Tarentum at above 90 years of age.
