PROCKIA, in botany: A genus of the monogynia order, belonging to the polyandra class of plants; and in the natural method ranking with those of which the order is doubtful. The calyx is triphyllous, besides two leaflets at the base. There is no corolla; the berry is quinqueangular, and polyspermous.
