SEGEDIN, a strong town of Lower Hungary, in the county of Czongrad, with a castle. The Imperialists took it from the Turks in 1686. It is seated at the confluence of the rivers Tefic and Masroch, in E. Long. 20. 35. N. Lat. 46. 28.
