VANDELLIA, in botany; a genus of plants belonging to the class didynamia and order angiosperma. The calyx is subquadrate; the corolla ringent; the two exterior filaments proceed from the disc of the lip of the corolla; the antherae are connected; the capsule is unilocular and polyspermous. There is only one species known, the diffusa.
