WATER-CARTS. Carriages constructed for the purpose of watering the roads for several miles round London; a precaution absolutely necessary near the metropolis, where, from such a vast daily influx of carriages and horries, the dust would otherwise become quite insufferable in hot dry weather. Pumps are placed at proper distances to supply these carts.
