WILL, or Last Will, in law, signifies the declaration of a man's mind and intent relating to the disposition of his lands, goods, or other estate, or of what he would have done after his death. In the common law there is a distinction made between a will and a testament: that is called a will where lands or tenements are given; and when the disposition concerns goods and chattels alone, it is termed a testament.
