THRYALLIS, in botany; a genus of plants belonging to the class of dicandria, and order of monogamia; and in the natural system ranging under the 38th order, Tricocca. The calyx is quinquepartite; there are five petals, and the capsule is tricoccos. There is only one species known, the brasilensis.
