RANDIA, in botany: A genus of the monogynia order, belonging to the pentandria class of plants; and in the natural method ranking with those of which the order is doubtful. The calyx is monophyllous; the corolla falser-shaped; the berry unilocular, with a capsular rim. There are two species, viz. the mitis and aculeata.
