SANDORICUM, in botany: A genus of the monogynia order, belonging to the decandria class of plants; and in the natural method ranking under the 23d order, Tribillata. The calyx is quinquedentate; the petals five, and linear-shaped: the nektarium has ten dentæ, on which the antheræ grow; the fruit is a drupa, and five in number, each of which has one seed. There is only one species, viz. the indicum, a native of Africa and the East Indies.
