PHYLLANTHUS, SEA-SIDE LAUREL; a genus of the triandria order, belonging to the moscacia class of plants. There are six species, all of them natives of warm climates; and rise from 12 or 14 feet to the height of middling trees. They are tender, and cannot be propagated in this country without artificial heat.
