MASUAH

MASUAH (See MASSUAH, Encycl.) is in latitude $15^\{\backslash circ\}\; 35\text{'}\; 5\text{'}\text{'}$ north, and in longitude $39^\{\backslash circ\}\; 36\text{'}\; 30\text{'}\text{'}$ east of Greenwich. On the 22d of September 1769 Mr Bruce found the variation of the needle at Masuah to be $12^\{\backslash circ\}\; 48\text{'}$ west.
