URBINO, a town of Italy, in the territory of the Pope, and capital of the duchy of Urbino, with an old citadel, an archbishop's see, and a handsome palace, where the dukes formerly resided. The houses are well built, and great quantities of fine earthen ware are made here. It is seated on a mountain, between the rivers Metro and Foglia, 18 miles south of Rimini, 58 east of Florence, and 120 north-east of Rome. L. Lon. 12. 40. N. lat. 43. 46.
