ARCHIDAPIFER, (from αρχή, and dapifer, "fewer," or chief fewer, is a great officer of the empire. The elector of Bavaria is archidapifer. The palatine of the Rhine at one time pretended this office was annexed to his palatinate; but he has since desisted.
