ANTARES, in Astronomy, the name of a star of the first magnitude, called also the scorpion's heart. Its longitude is $60^\{\backslash circ\}\; 13\text{'}\; 14\text{'}\text{'}$ of Sagittarius; and its latitude $43^\{\backslash circ\}\; 51\text{'}\; 26\text{'}\text{'}$ south.
