ABLAY, in Geography, a country of Great Tartary, governed by a Calmuck chief, but subject to Russia, to obtain its protection. It lies east of the river Irtysh, and extends 300 leagues along the southern frontiers of Siberia, from E. Long. 72° to 83°, N. Lat. from 51° to 54°.
