Plaster of PARIS, or Stucco, or Parquet of Montmartre, the first and the last name being derived from the place where it is found in great abundance, is a substance composed of lime and sulphuric acid, which on account of its property of rapidly absorbing water, after being calcined, is much employed in making casts and models.
