KERATOPHYTUM, in Natural History, a species of GORGONIA.—The keratophyta have been called the fructes corallides, or sea shrubs; and are generally known among naturalists by the different appellations of lithophyta, lithoxyla, and keratophyta.—See GORGONIA, HELMINTHOLOGY Index.
