ICONOLATRÆ, or ICONOLATERS (from ικω and λατρω, "I worship") or ICONODUDI (from ικω and δωλα, "I serve") those who worship images: A name which the Iconoclastes give to those of the Romish communion, on account of their adoring images, and of rendering to them the worship only due to God.
