CALLITRICHE, or STAR GRASS, in Botany, a genus of the digynia order, belonging to the Monandria class of plants; and in the natural method ranking under the 12th order, Holosericeæ. There is no calyx, but two petals, and the capsule is bilocular and tetraspermous.
