CARDIALGIA, in Medicine, a violent sensation of heat or acrimony felt towards the upper or left orifice of the stomach, though seemingly at the heart; sometimes accompanied with palpitations of the heart, fainting, and a propensity to vomit: better known by the name of cardiac passion, or heart-burn.
