SALUZZO, called by the French Saluces, a town and castle of Italy, in Piedmont, and capital of a marquise of the same name, with a bishop's see. It is situated on an eminence at the foot of the Alps near the river Po, in E. Long. 7. 29. N. Lat. 44. 33. It was formerly subject to the king of Sardinia.
