BENNET, Christopher, an eminent physician in the 16th century, was the son of John Bennet, of Raynton, in Somersetshire. He was educated at Lincoln college, Oxford; and gave the public a treatise on consumptions, entitled, Theatri Tabidorum Vestibulum, &c. also Exercitationes Diagnostice, cum Historiis demonstrativis, quibus Alimentorum et Sanguinis visia deteguntur in plerisque morbis, &c.
