Field of BLOOD, in Syriac Acedama, was a field purchased by the Jews with the thirty pieces of silver which had been given to Judas for betraying his master, and which he had restored. It still serves for a burial ground, in which all pilgrims who die in their pilgrimage at Jerusalem, are interred.
