AUGUSTOBONA, a city of the Tricassers in ancient Gaul, from whom it was afterwards called Tricasset, and Trecaffie; and still farther corrupted to Thracer, or Troci; whence the modern name Troyes, in Champagne, on the Seine. See TROYES.
