LIMBURGH DUCHY, a province of the Austrian Netherlands, bounded by the duchy of Juliers on the north and east, by Luxembourg on the south, and by the bishopric of Liege on the west. It is about 30 miles in length, and 25 in breadth; and consists of good arable and pasture land, with plenty of wood, and some iron mines.
