SCHWEITZ, a town of Switzerland, and capital of the canton of the same name, is seated near the Waldstætter

sea, on the slope of a hill, and at the bottom of two high, sharp, and rugged rocks, called the Schweitzer Hahuen. The church is an edifice both large and magnificent. It is 10 miles south-east of Lucerne. E. Long. 8. 30. N. Lat. 46. 55.
