AQUINO, PHILIP D', in Latin Aquinas or Aquinius, having turned from Judaism, had a pension from the clergy of France; and acquired much reputation by his knowledge of the Hebrew language, which he taught at Paris, in the reign of Louis XIII. and by the books he published, among which is his Dictio-narium Hebraico-Chaldaico-Thalmudico-Rabbinicum. His grandson, Anthony D'Anquin, was first physician to Louis XIV.
