CYCLOPEDIA, or ENCYCLOPEDIA, denotes the circle or compass of arts and sciences. A cyclopædia, say the authors of the French Encyclopédie, ought to explain as much as possible the order and connexion of human knowledge. See ENCYCLOPEDIA.
