BORD-Lode, a service required of tenants to carry timber out of the woods of the lord to his house. It is also used to signify the quantity of provision which the bordmen paid for their bord-lands.
Bord-Service, the tenure of bord-lands, by which some lands are held of the bishop of London, and the tenants pay sixpence per acre, in lieu of sending provision anciently for their lord's table.
