FREDERICA, a town of North America, in Georgia, seated at the mouth of the river Alatahaha. It was founded by General Oglethorpe. The island it stands upon is called St Simons's; and is about 13 miles in length, and 4 in breadth. W. Long. 81. 25. N. Lat. 31. 13.
