ICONOLATRÆ, or ICONOLATERS (from εικων and λατρευσω, "I worship,") or ICONODULI (from εικων and δουλω, "I serve;") those who worship images: A name which the Iconoclastes give to those of the Romish communion, on account of their adoring images, and of rendering to them the worship only due to God.
