ILERDA, in Ancient Geography, the capital of the Iligerites; situated on an eminence between the rivers Sicoris and Cinga: An unhappy city, often besieged, and often taken, because lying exposed to the incursions from Gaul; and under Gallienus it was destroyed by the Germans. Now LERIDA, in Catalonia, on the river Segra.
