AUBUSSON, a small town of France, in the pro-
vince of La Marche, and the government of the Lyon-
nois, now the department of Creuse. Its situation is
very irregular, on the river Creuse, in a bottom sur-
rounded with rocks and mountains. A manufacture
of tapestry is carried on here, and the town contained
a population of 3520 souls in 1815. E. Long. 2. 15.
