BOLTON, a town of Lancashire in England, seated on the river Croell. It has a manufacture of fustians, and the market is considerable for cloth and provisions. Great and Little Bolton together contained 24,149 inhabitants in 1811. W. Long. 2. 15. N. Lat. 53. 55.
