ALISONTIA, or ALISUNTIA, in Ancient Geography, a river of Belgic Gaul, now Alis; which, rising on the borders of Lorraine, and running through that duchy, waters the city of Luxembourg, and, swelled by other rivulets, falls into the Sur.
