ALKADARI, a sect among the Mahometans who deny any eternal, fixed, divine decrees, and are assertors of free-will. The word is formed from the Arabic alkadar, which signifies "decreed." The Alkadari are a branch of Motazalites, and stand opposed to the Algiabari. See ALGIABARI.
